having issues, please stand by

We’re currently experiencing issues with the Reliquary.org back-end; I hope we’ll have it sorted soon, but in the meantime, the site is missing a few (ok all, argh) pages — although not, interestingly enough, news posts.

Thanks for your patience!

Black Coffee show

We’re playing at Black Coffee with Screaming Shiva in May! That’s Sage’s new project; you probably remember him as Paris Burning’s frontman. This will be their debut live show, so I suggest not missing it.

one step closer

We recorded the first five or six songs for Path of Hours today! Herr Final Joy set us up with about 7 hours in Studio C at the Conservatory, complete with super-awesome engineer, and we barrelled through almost half the CD, go us: five discrete songs, and one acoustic version.

Compared to recording Winter World, where we tracked our stuff individually, this seems to go much faster and have a much more fluid sort of vibe. I liked it!

I think it worked!

You should now be seeing the new and improved Reliquary website!

I’ve done my very best to make sure that all internal links are updated, but if you see anything strange, please be sure to let me know.

I’m still working on getting all the new show-pictures up, but the Merch page is working and includes the new anime-style shirt, as well as both shirt designs in babydoll style!

Also, we had a photo shoot this weekend, and I hope to have some of our new pics to show you soon.

One last thing: the unfortunate side-effect of changing the back-end is that all user data was lost. I’m trying to re-create user data from other copies, but if you find that you can’t comment, please re-register. I’m sorry for the inconvenience.

only a couple weeks late

I will be updating the site shortly. Please stand by; there may be weirdness!

site update

I wanted to give everyone plenty of advance warning — I’ll be breaking the site this weekend =)

Basically, the database that powers 99% of the site is hosed. Rather than try to fix it, which hasn’t worked so far, I’ve created a duplicate of the data and I’ll be nuking reliquary.org from orbit, followed by replacing everything, better than ever.

Things you can look forward to in this new version:

  • a new design
  • more/newer pics
  • an expanded Merch section, with the new shirt design and the babydoll styles

And a back-end that doesn’t make me want to tear my hair out =)

an apology

First, a confession. I have memory issues. I’m totally blaming on early-onset Alzheimer’s, but the fact is, I forget shit. All the time. It’s bad, really bad, and it occasionally leads me to forget really super important things.

Like mentioning AcidicA, an aggressive industrial band who are not only performing with N17 and The Strand (among others) tomorrow at The Sets, but whose main creative force, Mr AcidicA himself, is also Reliquary’s fabulous live keyboardist and backing guitarist.

And the fact that I’ve gone probably a year without even linking to their site or giving much more than a passing mention is just inexcusable, and I’m sorry that it took an email from the AcidicA Main Squeeze herself to alert me to this sorry state of affairs.

So go check out AcidicA, go to their show on Saturday, and scream for Jay when Reliquary plays (except not tomorrow ’cause he won’t be there, but all other times, absolutely, scream for him, ok?) and please forgive me for this gross oversight.

update on tomorrow’s show

Sorry, had the wrong cross-streets: we’ll be at 3rd Street and Roosevelt.

Hope to see you there!

show next Friday

We’ll be playing First Friday next week, March 2nd!

Updated: We’ll be playing at 3rd Street and Jefferson, in a parking lot there. It looks like we’ll be going on around 8-ish, although I’ll be sure to post any updates as we get them. Not sure where we’ll be playing yet (”with some graffiti artists” is all I know at this moment), but we’ll be sure to let you know when we have more info.

Also, we’ll have some brand-new tshirts! We’ll have a new design (below) and both will be available in both regular and babydoll style!

show reminder: Voltaire (plus other cool stuff)

Just a reminder, tomorrow is our show with Voltaire and À Rebours! It’s going to be super-awesome and we hope you can join us.

Also, we are still Italian rockstars! In fact, we’ve moved up two spots to #8. We love you, Italy!

And a huge thank-you to everyone who’s donated so far! We’re overwhelmed and humbled by the generosity of our fans. You’re the reason we’re able to take advantage of this amazing opportunity, and we love you, too!

(Just a reminder, if you’re thinking of donating via PayPal, they’re still adding the bizarre shipping charges, so please plan accordingly. We’ll also have a donation jar at the show tomorrow — please be sure to give us your email address on the sheet next to the jar, if you donate that way. Thanks again!)
